A word from the Rector
St Margaret's is a vibrant and growing village church with a rich heritage. In fact people have been worshipping on this site for more than 800 years! However, although we meet together in an ancient building, we worship a God who is very much alive and at work in the world and in our lives today.
If you come to visit us, you will find a group of ordinary people from a whole range of backgrounds, from a variety of nations, and of differing ages who, together, form a family. Collectively, we are discovering the extraordinary truth that the creator of the universe wants to have a relationship with each and every one of us! Everything we do here is designed to help us to grow in the knowledge of that love, and then to share God’s transforming love with those around us in our parish and beyond.
We want St. Margaret’s to be a place where everyone is welcome and can achieve their God-given potential. There are special activities for all the different age groups, both on Sundays and, increasingly, at other points during the week. We believe St. Margaret’s is a welcoming community for new people. We also believe we are a friendly place to belong, a safe place to ask questions, a place where together we can learn and grow in faith
There are more details of all the different things that are going on through this website, so please do explore. However the best way to find out more is to come along on a Sunday. Do come for coffee at 10.15am between the 9am and the 10.45 services and take the opportunity to chat to us and find out more!
